When it comes to accomplishing your health and wellness goals, it is important to make sure that you implement support structures and frameworks that will help you to succeed. These support structures do not have to be complicated, expensive or time consuming. They can be practical, simple and easy to implement. In this post, I will share with you 5 simple support systems that help me to reach my goals.

#1 – Weekly Planner

I personally like to plan at the beginning of the week and use a weekly planner that has a habit tracker that I look at daily. It has a place for me to check off how many glasses of water I drink throughout the day, which I love, because I check my planner regularly throughout the workday. I love that it helps me to keep my todo list in perspective, along with the other habits I like to do like weekly exercise and reading 30 minutes before bed each night. Here is the weekly planner I have been using!  #ad

#2 – Phone reminders

Simple, yet definitely not overrated. Simple phone reminders are my go to for keeping myself accountable for a myriad of things. I especially like to use my phone reminders to help me keep firm boundaries around my time. Establishing daily cut off times, setting weekly gratitude reminders, and other time based appointment reminders are among a few things I use phone reminders for.

#3 – Accountability partner

I consider myself to be highly personally motivated. Give me a task or goal to accomplish, I’m your girl, and I can get it done! Now, I say this in regards to activities or business engagements that I actually enjoy. There are certain things that I do consider a bit challenging to keep my weekly commitments to and one of those things is exercising! I mean I love a good cardio workout, but sometimes when putting together my weekly to-do list, the thought of “I’m too busy to workout” can creep up, and this is where my accountability partner comes in! My accountability partner is a family member who helps to keep me straight in the area of physical exercise and I appreciate her more than words can express! We have weekly appointments throughout the week where we meet up at the gym and put in the work to stay active!

#4 – Do not disturb time

I have an iPhone, and it has a Do Not Disturb setting that allows me to input times that I do not want to receive texts, calls, or other notifications. If you want to be really productive throughout the day, this is one of my top suggestions! I mostly use this setting for hours close to bed time and a significant portion of the morning. Ex: 9pm -10am.

This setting allows only people or apps that I have given permission or favorited to reach me during the Do NOT Disturb time.

If you have an iPhone, you can experiment with this feature by going to your settings. If you have an Android, there may be an equivalent feature or app you can use.

#5 – Sleep!

Rest is a key fuel to helping me accomplish my goals and this is truly a universal principle. Everyone thrives better when they get enough rest, so this is a pivotal support structure to implement into your life at the beginning stages of adopting any new health goal or habit you desire to achieve. It’s a must! If you find that your phone is too distracting at night and this is the device you use to set your daily alarm, try an alarm clock as an alternative!

I hope you found some inspiration from these 5 simple support systems that help me to reach my goals.
